Con and Julie Clifford have owned Everton Park Child Care & Development Centre since 1999. Con has a deep understanding of children’s developmental and social needs, along with many years experience as a father of 4 children. He holds a Diploma of Teaching in Early Childhood from the Institute of Early Childhood Development (now Faculty of Education, The University of Melbourne) and has taught in Queensland and Victoria. Over this time Con has been in the roles of Licensee, Centre Director, CEO and has had oversight of all processes, procedures and policies relevant to the effective operation o the centre.
Con and his wife Julie were born in Queensland and have lived on the northside for over 30 years and are fully focused on the wellbeing of every child and family at the centre.

Jon has been our Outdoor Educator, Outdoor Educational Leader and a member of the Management Team for a number of years and has been appointed as Centre Director/Manager and Educational Leader.
Working in the Early Education Industry for over eighteen years, Jon has been employed in many different capacities in services both in Australia and in the UK. He holds a Diploma in Children’s Services and a Level 3 Forest School Leader Qualification.
As Jon is very passionate about the outdoor environment and all it has to offer the children for them to learn and develop, he is committed to a sustainable future and hopes that by allowing the children to explore and discover the natural environment they will develop a lifelong desire to care for our world.
Being very community minded Jon has led a number of community events to help families during some challenging times. Throughout the year Jon spends time working alongside other Early Childhood professionals to facilitate Forest School Leader training courses for Forest School Learning Initiative based in England. He also conducts training on outdoor education, Natural Environments for Learning and other areas of Early Childhood education for services in Queensland and has guided our team to facilitate the children in learning how to interact effectively with the natural environment.
In 2020 Jon was awarded the Outstanding Achiever Award for an individual by The Queensland Government, Outdoor Queensland Awards, and accepted his new role as Centre Director/Manager in January 2022.
Laurel has been working in the Early Childhood Industry for over 17 years. Throughout these years, she has worked with babies through to kindy. She holds a Diploma in Early Childhood.
Laurel has been working at Everton Park Child Care and Development Centre since 2016 and worked in all rooms throughout the years. Laurel loves working with children and helping them grow and learn.
In 2017 Laurel took on the role of Assistant Director and is now responsible for much of the administration work within the centre and often helps out in the rooms.
